First of all….the CUBS WON THE WORLD SERIES!! What a whirlwind of a week it’s been!
How Far Along? 32 weeks
Size of Baby: A honeydew melon
Weight Gain: 26 lbs since pre-pregnancy
Maternity Clothes: I never used to think it was acceptable to wear leggings as pants…until I was 8 months pregnant. The weather in Chicago has been perfect for wearing leggings with long sweaters!
Nursery: I now refer to our second bedroom as the nursery instead of the guest room! It is painted & we are getting the furniture today 🙂 I can’t wait to start setting everything up now and organizing all of the baby stuff we’ve collected.
Lyla loves hanging out in the nursery (mostly because of the comfy new rug!)
Movement: SO much! Baby was moving a TON when we saw Hamilton this past weekend.
Symptoms: I get tired very easily, and now that I don’t have to stay up late for the Cubs games anymore, my bedtime is significantly earlier!
This past week I had my 31 week doctor appointment. My belly was measuring at 33 inches, so I’m going to have another ultrasound at my next appointment to see if Baby Walsh is either going to be earlier than we originally thought, or if I’m just going to have a big baby!
Sleep: I had my first case of insomnia recently. It could’ve been because I took a nap 2 hours before I went to bed…
Cravings: No major cravings this week.
What I Miss: My long walks with Lyla on Saturday mornings — I just can’t make it that far anymore!
Best Moment This Week: Attending the Cubs parade on Friday with my parents! It was such a fun day, and crazy to think that at 8 months pregnant I was part of the 5 million people in the crowd making history 🙂
We were lucky to attend opening day this year at Wrigley. It’s hard to believe that at that time, I didn’t know I was pregnant! It’s also crazy to think that our kid will grow up in a year when we’re not saying “maybe next year…”
Looking Forward To: Our baby shower today hosted by my mom, sisters & sister-in-law. I’m also looking forward to picking up our nursery furniture today and getting the room together 🙂
