How Far Along? 17 weeks
Size of Baby: Onion
Weight Gain: 7 lbs. since pre-pregnancy weight
Maternity Clothes: With this heat in Chicago, I’ve been living in athletic shorts, leggings & tank tops. Aside from shorts, I’m still able to wear most of my non-maternity clothes…don’t think this will last much longer, though!
Nursery: Still in the process of cleaning out our guest room to transform it into a nursery.
Movement: Nothing yet–although I did feel what felt like little bubbles in my belly as I was going to sleep the other night.
Symptoms: Much more energy now than during the first trimester. Baby Walsh is definitely beginning to make their presence known–and with that comes a sore lower back.
Sleep: No middle-of-the-night bathroom breaks lately! However, I’m still having a hard time sleeping through the night. My snoogle pregnancy pillow has made sleeping slightly more comfortable. I also re-adjusted my # on our sleep number bed, so I’m hoping that helps with the slight back pain I’ve been having!
Cravings: Anything with cheese–cheez its, grilled cheese, cheese and crackers, cream cheese, mac & cheese, cheddar goldfish, you name it! I’m still loving my daily grilled cheese on Panera’s asiago cheese bread as well 🙂
What I Miss: Being able to sleep through the night. Afternoon naps are helping me catch up on sleep, but I know once school starts again, I won’t have the luxury of taking them anymore.
Best Moment This Week: Hearing baby’s heartbeat again! Healthy & in the 150’s-160’s.
Looking Forward To: Feeling baby move!!
