How Far Along? 23 weeks
Size of Baby: Grapefruit
Weight Gain: 16 lbs. since pre-pregnancy weight
Maternity Clothes: It’s been a little cooler the past few days, so I’ve gotten to wear my super comfortable maternity jeans that I love. I’m getting very excited for Fall weather!!
Nursery: Starting to seriously plan when we’re going to start transforming the guest room into a nursery — SOON!
Movement: I love every minute of it!
Symptoms: I’ve started having some BIZARRE dreams. For example, the other night I had a dream that Lyla somehow turned into a bug and we had to leave her because we were meeting Tom’s family for lunch. I was following her as she crawled around on the carpet, but got distracted and lost track of her. I asked Tom if she would ever turn back into a dog again and he replied, “I don’t think so.” Thank goodness I woke up from that nightmare with Lyla sleeping right next to me 🙂 Another symptom that has started due to my weight gain is snoring…sorry Tom!
Sleep: I’ve been sleeping much better, however I need to work on sleeping on my side more…I tend to roll onto my back which isn’t good. {Pregnant women shouldn’t sleep on their backs, especially during the second and third trimesters because it causes a decrease in circulation to the heart and baby.}
Cravings: Cereal — There are some weekday mornings that I’m willing to wake up a little earlier in order to have a bowl before leaving for school!
What I Miss: Not really missing anything this week!
Best Moment This Week: Having a fetal echo done on Baby Walsh’s heart. Since I had open heart surgery when I was two, my doctors wanted me to have this done just to make sure there were no complications with baby’s heart. It was CRAZY how much of the heart I was able to see during the ultrasound! Baby Walsh’s heart looks great, which is amazing news! 🙂
Looking Forward To: Registering — we’re hoping to go to Buy Buy Baby today to begin!
