How Far Along? 38 weeks
Size of Baby: A pumpkin
Weight Gain: Up 1 pound since last week, so 31 lbs. since pre-pregnancy
Maternity Clothes: My selection of maternity clothes that still fit the babe is getting smaller! I’ve been wearing a lot of leggings and long sleeve tees lately.
Nursery: The nursery is all ready for Baby Walsh’s arrival. Our rocking chair should arrive the first week of January, so then it will be complete!
Movement: One of my favorite things to do is watch baby move around in my belly. I was able to capture this video the other day of Baby W rolling around! This is definitely one of the things I will miss about being pregnant.
Symptoms: This is the first week that I’ve had to take my engagement ring off due to my fingers swelling so much. Also, several every day tasks have become much more difficult due to my growing bump getting in the way. Some examples include:
- Doing the dishes
- Brushing my teeth at the sink
- Putting on socks & boots
- Taking off socks & boots {this is now a team effort, and requires the help of my wonderful hubby}
Sleep: Still pretty much the same. I fall asleep early & get up once a night on average to use the bathroom. I also find myself waking up every so often to rotate from one side to the other.
Cravings: I haven’t had any major cravings this week. With that said though, I would much rather snack and have small meals throughout the day than have a few larger meals.
What I Miss: This is the first week where I’ve started to get really excited to have some of the things that I haven’t been able to have while pregnant, like a Jersey Mike’s deli sandwich, sushi, and a nice Allagash White 🙂 Only a few more weeks {or days} left to wait!
Best Moment This Week: I treated myself to a mani/pedi this week which was very relaxing. We also celebrated the engagement of some of our good friends this past weekend. So many exciting things happening in our friends’ lives right now!
Looking Forward To: BABY!! In all seriousness though, I’m getting very anxious to meeting our little one. We’ve finished all of our hospital classes, my hospital bag is packed and ready to go, and I only have 3 days left of school. I feel like we’ve done everything we can up until this point, and now we’re just anxiously waiting…
