Lyla wanted to be in my picture this week 🙂
How Far Along? 34 weeks
Size of Baby: Cantaloupe
Weight Gain: Down a pound since last week surprisingly, so 26 lbs since pre-pregnancy
Maternity Clothes: I’m still embracing my comfy maternity clothes. Now that the weather has gotten colder, I just have to layer a lot since I refuse to buy a maternity coat!
Nursery: I’ve loved being able to organize and put things away in the nursery. We’re still waiting for our rocking chair, so once that comes in, Tom can finish hanging up the rest of our decor 🙂
Movement: Baby W is definitely getting crowded in there! I feel movement all the time still, and at this point Baby W takes up more space in my belly than all the other “stuff.”
Symptoms: I’m finding that several symptoms from the first trimester are returning. I get tired very easily, and am often in bed between 8:00-9:00. I also have to pee all the time, and get up at least once in the middle of the night. Luckily I haven’t had a problem going back to sleep lately.
Sleep: I’m getting better at staying up until 8:00 or 9:00 at night, so that I only get up once in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. I’ve also had to ditch my wonderful Snoogle pillow because my bump is just getting too big for it and I was finding myself getting stuck in it in the middle of the night! Now I just try to sleep on my side with a pillow between my legs to help support my back.
Cravings: Cheese again! Back to my mac ‘n cheese & asiago bagels that I had so much of during my first trimester.
What I Miss: Being able to do things for myself. I know that one of the perks of being pregnant is that you get to sit back and relax while other people give you a hand, but I’m not used to this. I guess I need to get used to not being in control of everything all the time!
Best Moment This Week: I had another ultrasound this week as well as my 33 week appointment. Baby Walsh is quite the chunker already! All measurements were proportional which was good, they were just more typical of what one would see at 35-36 weeks. Baby W currently weighs 6.3 lbs, which puts it in the 90%ile for weight! {Makes me feel better about my weight gain!} My doctors are going to continue to monitor how big Baby W is getting since I’m still measuring a little bit ahead.
Since Tom was out of town this weekend, and my parents were traveling as well, my mother-in-law was able to come to the ultrasound with me. The technician was able to get this adorable 3D photo!
Look at those cheeks!! I’m so in love already. <3 I think Baby W also has the Dirienzo nose…
We also hosted Friendsgiving on Sunday with all of my high school friends & “Benet in-laws” 🙂 It was my first time ever cooking a turkey, and I’m happy to say that everything was delicious! I’m so glad that we’ve continued to keep in close touch after all these years!
Looking Forward To: Celebrating Thanksgiving with my family this week & continuing the tradition of Black Friday shopping with my sister, Carolyn.
